Missourians for Constitutional Freedom Statement on Decision in Fair Ballot Language Case

Jefferson City, MO — Statement from Rachel Sweet, Campaign Manager for Missourians for Constitutional Freedom, on today’s ruling from Cole County Circuit Court Judge Cotton Walker:

“Today’s ruling is a clear victory for Missouri voters. Missourians for Constitutional Freedom has fought tirelessly since 2023 to ensure that voters have access to fair and accurate information when they head to the polls. Once again, the courts have affirmed that politicians cannot use deceptive and misleading ballot language to distort the truth. This is the third time that their politically motivated efforts have been struck down, and it sends a strong message – we have a right to a fair citizen initiative petition process in Missouri.

“This ruling confirms what we’ve known all along—our opponents are trying to block a vote in November because they know Missourians overwhelmingly support reproductive freedom and will be voting yes on Amendment 3.

“Missourians deserve the chance to vote on Amendment 3 based on facts and today’s decision brings us one step closer to making that a reality.”
